What happens when gazillions of food obsessed people (oh, excuse me, I mean Culinary Professionals) descend on New Orleans?  They all start writing about it!
The Food Writers section of IACP was given the task of spreading the word about what’s going on in New Orleans, and the bloggers are doing their bit to contribute to NOLA Giveback. New Orleans is coming back, bit by bit,  they are pulling themselves together and they need us to visit, plain and simple.

Here’s a partial list of what’s been going on.
Please, if you have a blog and are writing about NOLA, send me the link. Let’s do our bit to spread the good word about New Orleans.

  1. Hey Y’all,
thank you fo’da Hat Tip. We aim ta’please.
BTW I’m wonderin what y’all think of board baked fish? And what about da’wood, accrutaments, etc? If you decide to do a post on it will you please email me from the profile?
I really really really love your photographs.
When the flood came I was working for Angeli on Decatur, riding bike-delivery. I loved that job. They used one of those double-decker conveyor ovens to rock nearly the whole menue. Busy. Really late hours and fresh food, fresh baked bread on all the sandwiches and pizzas. The owners are Turkish. Wonderful folks.
But your shot of that bent light pole just puts me back on’da bike, riding slow through the Quarters on a beautiful day with someone’s good food! You had to take your time or have a wreck and that wouldn’t do fo’da food ya’know. I would often follow the roof’tops as I rode along. No two alike, I could imagine how da’ghosts must move about them at night. Really. I know you heah my mouf’talkin…ya’know?

    Thanks again,
    Bruce
